Video: AI-ing Heifers, the process of artificially inseminating young cows
By Jim Mundorf
Lonesome Lands has stumbled into the world of YouTube and we are off and running. When I started the site it was always part of the plan to bring people out to the lonesome lands through photo and video, but over the last few months we have moved more toward informing people about the struggles of the cattleman and what he is up against, which up until now I thought would be easiest through writing. Now we are expanding to video.
Because I’m not nerdy enough to know how to put videos in the blogs without YouTube links, I have started a YouTube channel in order to get videos on the site. It has quickly become our most popular social media account with over 4,000 subscribers and more than 350,000 views from only 7 videos in just 2 months. Most up to this point are explanations of what is happening in the cattle industry at this time. Those will continue and I am hoping to do more similar to the one above, not just on our place, but venturing out, showing other ranches and work in the Lonesome Lands. This being the first one, I made plenty of mistakes and hopefully will only get better from here. If you want to see more please keep sharing and subscribe to all our accounts below. The best description for the plant based, fake meat industry is just pure and simple BS, so we put that on a shirt. At first glance its just a good old fashioned Longhorn bull but if you look closer you’ll see that he has dropped off something similar to what vegans call food. Shipping is free.
Plain and simple Colt Single Action Army, AKA the Peacemaker. The grips have the same Longhorn on them that was an option, and the barrel has Lonesome Lands engraved into it. The Peacemaker was the favorite of Cowboys, outlaws, and lawmen of the late 1800’s and continues to be a symbol of the rugged individual. Shipping is free.
